The Stockton Symphony is the third oldest, continuously performing, orchestra in California, surpassed in longevity only by the San Francisco Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
It began its 90th season Saturday with a champagne and appetizer reception prior to the grand opening concert featuring violinist Philippe Quint.  Peter Jaffe  (pictured left) is the music director and conductor. Saturday’s concert also featured a “Birthday Song” arranged by Jaffe as well as Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture”.
