PrimeSource holds grand opening in Stockton


  PrimeSource Building Products Inc., one of the world’s largest purveyors of fasteners, has located to a 139,000 square foot facility in Stockton and they’ve hired 25 people.
They held an open house at the new facility yesterday inviting  their customers, local dignitaries and neighbors in the business park north of the Stockton Metropolitan Airport.
   The company’s customer base includes independent lumber and supply dealers, major retailers and retail building supply chains.

Their core products are just about everything you need to build something including

nails, screws, fasteners, tools, compressors, roofing and gypsum.
   PrimeSource, one of North America’s largest distributors of building materials, traces its beginnings back to 1938, and its continued growth, to the relationships they have built throughout the industry. They have 34 distribution centers across North America, Hawaii and the Caribbean.

Vice President  and General Counsel Jeff Harvey is pictured left with Brad Ecker, San Joaquin Partnership (center) and Tony Wong, Field Representative for Assemblymen Susan Eggman.  Harvey says they are excited about this move from a customer and employees standpoint.    He says many of their employees already lived in San Joaquin County and no longer have to endure the arduous commute to the Bay Area and with San Joaquin County’s excellent transportation network, deliveries to customers will be more efficient.
