The San Joaquin County Employment & Economic Development Department (EEDD) recently appointed Steven Lantsberger, CEcD, to serve as its new Economic Development Director bringing 30 years of economic development experience to the organization.
   John Solis, Executive Director of San Joaquin County WorkNet and Director of the EEDD stated, “the addition of Mr. Lantsberger will complement the EEDD team, and his vast economic development experience will enable him to carry on our legacy while simultaneously developing new initiatives to support the County’s economic development strategic plan.”
He added “During his career Mr. Lantsberger has developed award-winning economic development programs that facilitated the creation of thousands of new jobs. His out-of-the-box thinking, innovation, and work ethic were key factors in our decision to bring him on board.”
   Most recently, he was the County’s Business Loan Manager, overseeing a multi-million-dollar revolving loan fund (RLF) that dates back to 1977. Prior to coming to San Joaquin County, he served as the Director of Economic Development for Hesperia, CA, a position he held for seventeen years. Other economic development experience includes ten years as the Executive Director of the Tehama Local Development Corporation, a private, non-profit economic development corporation.
   Lantsberger holds numerous professional certifications and awards including designations as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP), and Housing Development Finance Professional (HDFP). He is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker and Appraiser.
